Application process - QUALITY CONTROL

To contribute your work to fotoTrip.co.uk gallery, you must pass the quality control. We are looking for a good level of photography and your images will be declined for any of the following reason:

• Poor Focus
• Camera Shake
• Under or Over Exposed
• Sloping Horizons
• Distracting Backgrounds
• Over Sharpening
• Burnt Highlights
• No Shadow Detail
• Wrong Colour Balance
• Over Contrast
• Poor Lighting
• Excessive Noise, Grain & Colour Distortion
• Compression Artifacting (saving your Jpegs too many times)
• Over Filtering
• Poor Isolation & Cropping
• Dust & Debris in Scans
• Poor Composition / Cropping
• Copyright / Trademark Infringement or Risk
• And most importantly, no WOW factor!

Technical specifications

• Images must be RGB JPG format only
• File sizes: the bigger, the better. 300 dpi minimum.
• Files sizes can be between 2mb and 10mb (compressed)
• Min. 25mb uncompressed size

• Once application process is successful, it is recommended that you add your own keywords to EACH image. It's a long process but intregal if you want buyers to find your images
• It is possible to enter keywords prior to upload using programs such as Adobe Bridge
• Entering keywords and descriptions: be descriptive. Include at least 10 keywords and use a title other than ‘dog' or ‘man'. Supplying more keywords means your image will match more searches. Images with more keywords get viewed more often.

Legal Notice:

• You must own the full copyright to any image you upload. This means you must be the photographer or artist that created the image.
• All trademarks must be removed. This includes logos, brands and entities with copyright or trademarked elements. This many also extend to trademarked products such as cast sculptures, toys, architecture and other elements of design. Copyright is checked with each file.
• Model releases: images with clearly visible people require a model release form for legal reasons. Children in images can't sign a model release. A legal guardian or parent must sign for all children under the age of 18 years. It's your call.. just be aware of this.
• Uploading images/artwork that belongs to somebody else (copyright or otherwise) will result in legal actions against yourself.

Please note :

• Photographers and artists can upload at no charge providing the initial quality control test is passed.
• All images will be reviewed individually and must be approved by fotoTrip.co.uk
• The global selling price is governed by fotoTrip.co.uk and it reserves the right to amend it in accordance to market demand.
• If you would like to amend the selling price please contact us directly.

Commision structure:

• Digital Downloads
  • Contributors are entitled to 80% of the selling price for all digital downloads
• Prints
  • Contributors are entitled to 60% of prints ordered which includes printing, postage and packaging.
